Dropped by URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) Singapore over the weekend to check out their urban planning exhibition - Copenhagen Solutions.
Been digging a little deeper into urban planning and doing some reading on Copenhagen recently. Definitely a very interesting read; besides the fact that Denmark itself being
the happiest country in the world, Copenhagen has a global reputation for being the bicycle city, in which the urban planning and policy are designed to encourage cycling as the core transportation in the city.
New on my list - Copenhagen!
| Copenhagen Solution |
| A 3d model showing what I believe is part of the urban greenery design ( I mean a park!) |
| Windmill modal - leveraging the wind to create sustainable and clean energy for the city |
| Urban residential project built based on the idea of private garden for each residential unit |
| 3d modal of The Prism (Sports and cultural facilities as seen) |
3d modal of The Crystal
no idea what this is, probably part of the urban planning to encourage social interaction among the residents |
Further reading on Copenhagen / Denmark:
- denmark.dk >> Nicely designed country website (not your Truly Asia website) to provide insight and overview for the country
- kk.dk >> just discovered this and still going through. Amazingly they have an English version which looks 10 times better than the Danish version itself.
